This years FMBE awards were a success for The Blue Square Group to say the least. Of our 6 nominations, we came home with a phenomenal 5 awards. This included three awards for Blue Square, one for The Blue Square Group and one for OnLive Events. The FMBE awards were a fantastic opportunity to showcase and celebrate the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at The Blue Square Group, and after the whirlwind that was 2020, it’s great to have a reason to celebrate!
Carly is a true inspiration to all of us here at The Blue Square Group and a well deserving winner for Brand Ambassador of the Year. Carly has been passionately involved with Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2018. She leads an incredible project which helped gift 30 Samsung devices into the hospital for the patients to use as well as training the staff on new tech too.
‘Engage Social’ is a campaign that was built with the ultimate goal of building brand advocacy for Samsung at a time where retail stores were closing due to the pandemic, leaving channel staff feeling disconnected. It has evolved the social media reach and engagement of our field force as ambassadors for Samsung. It’s a 3-tier programme of social media marketing designed by Blue Square in 2020, which includes a first-of-its-kind solution aiming to re-think traditional nano-influencer marketing.
he now award-winning 50BBE was an 8-hour livestream, broadcast from a secret London location in June 2020 during a global Black Lives Matter civil rights movement (not to mention a pandemic too). 50BBE celebrated Black British Excellence and the birthday of one of the UK’s finest DJs and TV/radio broadcasters, DJ Spoony. The livestream pulled in 25k live viewers, was watched for over a million minutes and featured the likes of Idris Elba, Reggie Yates and Ian Wright.
We had to completely re-think our approach to conferencing and events for VNTS to be a success, and with the help of OnLive, it was just that. It was great working with Samsung on another National Training Summit and was an absolute pleasure helping them deliver this fantastic event virtually for the first time.
‘After Hours’ was a national scale campaign to immerse retail sales staff in the possibilities of Samsung’s new devices and UK-first 5G technology. It was a pleasure working with Samsung to create and execute this engaging and educational After Hours event which not only increased product knowledge and sales among the retail team, but also increased their love and passion for the brand.
A fantastic result from this years FMBE Awards, we already can’t wait for next year!
