In late 2019 we were invited to support Samsung in expanding their presence within luxury retail department stores, recruiting, developing and managing store staff for the opening of a new Harrods shop-in-shop store, to complement our existing and similar work in Selfridges.
Our ambition was to reimagine the role of the typical store sales team, focusing on the harmonisation of sales through service to create a connected experience for a loyal and high net worth customer base in store.
We used our expertise in talent acquisition to match the right talent to the demographic profile of the luxury shopper and their technology needs, building a highly capable and diverse team, considerate of Harrods international shopper base and UHNW clientele.
This accelerated growth by expanding the Premium category across Harrods & Selfridges, delivering sales growth across both stores in 2020 during a year with 5 months heavily impacted by Covid-19.
The 2020 Premium Retail Campaign delivered over £3m in sales revenue growth, moving from a service-focused proposition to a blend of sales through service.
