'Engage Social' & growing brand love for Samsung

Engage Social is a social media marketing solution that enables us to build greater digital engagement and brand advocacy for Samsung. This solution helped them retain an edge in the market at a time where traditional retail stores were closing due to the pandemic in March 2020, which also coincided with Samsung’s flagship phone launch at the time, the Galaxy S20.

With retail staff and consumers feeling disconnected, we chose 150+ reps who work in our Samsung retail-based field force as social media ambassadors for the brand. Using a combination of brand and user-generated content, we built a strategy which kept the client’s content relevant, authentic and engaging for a targeted audience of nearly 40,000 combined followers who primarily worked in physical retail spaces.

This enabled Samsung to stay front of mind with retail teams during lockdowns and the move to e-commerce. By regularly posting a mix of software automated and user-generated content, our reps were keeping retail colleagues informed, supported and educated during ‘downtime’, furlough or time away from physical stores.

When traditional retail staff had either pivoted to online sales and support roles, or returned to retail post-lockdown, they had the right knowledge and affinity with the Samsung brand and products to help them positively influence sales and customer experience.
